and looky who's here yet again!!! god damnit, the bloggods hate me!!!
anyway, i was reading mathewson and others blog and i must say that i completly disagree with alex and chris roche about how there is no such thing as love....i love my friends more than some of my family. i know that doesn't sound right, but your family doesnt have to be blood. for example, (yes i'm reaching back into the memory vaults, but this one has a point!) when i lived in Toronto one of my best friends was bryn. after we moved to ajax, she was really hurt that we had left, and sad...we grew apart because it just hurt so much...so in the summer i went and stayed a week with her. she had just gotten a new dog from the pound, and it had moments when it would just spaze and go nuts! so one time he chases us out of the basement...i'm terrified of dogs...and he just started growlying at her, adn acted like he was going to attack, and just at a moment something clicked in my head that if this dog lunged, i would throw myself in front of bryn... it didn't but it was one of those things that everything in your head goes clear except for the one thing......
if thats not love then i have no idea what is, i was willing to come over my fears and risk my life for her....and quite frankly i would do it now, and i rarely talk to her....
that is my best example of love, but somepeople's blood family don't offer unconditional love...you can make anyone you want your "family"
love is when you would do anything for someone, and you put them before yourself. you may thing that you would, but when it comes down to it, if you REALLY would, then its love.
love is never wanting to disapoint someone, their opinion means everything. whe you would do anything to take their pain from them, when they could hurt you by just saying one thing, but they don't...love is when they will forgive you for anything that you could possibly do...
although i do think that people use the word a little to freely...i mean i don't love everyone i know. but if i do love you than you know it...
so in my opinoin there is such a thing as love, i don't think that enough people experince it though..it's nothing to be afraid of...i think that i have experinced love...
and what more can i say?
